Magenta and White The Cycladic Greeks adore the stark chromatic contrast between the intense white that comes from countless layers of whitewash and the bright hues of the bougianvillea blossoms. Often the bougainvillea, which is a scentless flower, has a companion jasmine bush planted nearby to provide an intensely sweet perfume to complement the visually arresting appearance of the bougainvillea.
