Santorini from the Air Taking a flight through the Aegean islands can be a rare treat with birds-eye views of the islands along the way. This photo of Santroini was taken during a flight to the island of Rhodes, and processed in Photoshop to combat visual haze by increasing the contrast, turning it into a misty, mysterious view. The main crescent of the island is toward the camera, with Thirassia to the right, nearly completing the circle, and the two Kameni islands marking the center of the caldera. The small dot of land in the left foreground is the uninhabited islet of Anydros. Copyright 2012, J. S. Pezaris AREADNE | Email | Search | Archive |
