View from Profitis Illias The highest point on Santorini is Profitis Illias (ee-LEE-ahs) and provides a vantage point for viewing the entire island. This shot was taken from the roadside near the peak, showing some wildflowers in the foreground, the town of Pyrgos in the middle distance, and the outcropping called Skaros barely visible in the distance through the haze.
