Scholarships and Travel Grants
Historically, the AREADNE Conferences have not offered travel grants or
scholarships. Instead, we work very hard to keep the student and post-doc
registration fees as low as possible for everyone. When we do have funds
available, details are given in the list below.
• |
For United Kingdom based students and post-docs, we will be able provide
some support for 2014, thanks to a generous grant
from the Wellcome Trust. Please contact
us by email for details. As of 2014-05-25, these funds have been depleted.

For United States based students and post-docs, we will be able provide
support for 2014, thanks to a grant from the National Science Foundation. The exact amount will be
determined by the number of requests, but is anticipated at USD 300 to 400
per person, and will take the form of a travel award provided after
the conference.

For other participants, the first place to check for travel support is the
student's or post-doc's home institution which often has departmental funds
to attend conferences. Additionally, scholarships and travel grants are at
times available from institutions such as the ones listed below, some of
which are specific to women or minorities. Note that many of these
institutions do not have publicly announced travel grants, but that funds
are sometimes available upon special application.
