The traditional Cycladic architecture often features arcades that are built to provide shade and allow summer breezes to keep the buildings cool. This scene can be found in Imerovigli, the next town over from Firostefani, where looking through the arcade, the northern end Santorini can be seen in the background with the white buildings from the southern end of the village of Oia.
